Highlights of the village calendar are the Comrie fortnight, held approximately in the last week of July and the first week of August; and the Comrie Flambeaux celebrations, held to welcome in the New Year. However, Comrie and its surrounding areas beauty can be appreciated in any season, whether it is the first hint of spring, the passing of summer and the change to more autumnal colours or bright crisp winter days!

The beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire nestles on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands. Comrie is in the heart of the scenic West Strathearn area of Perthshire, at the confluence of the rivers Earn, Ruchill and Lednock.
Called Victoria by the Romans, Comrie’s original Pictish name is said to have been Aberlednock. Comrie is the Gaelic name given by the Scots who invaded in the 7th – 8th century. It is derived from the Gaelic Comn Shruth, meaning flowing together. The earliest recorded form of this name was Combray.
